Selling Your Home

If you are looking to sell your house this autumn in favour of pastures new, then it can be very difficult. But with easy to follow instructions for de cluttering and updating inexpensively, people should be flocking to purchase your pad!

Clear out the clutter and rubbish that you and the family have accumulated over the years. People find it difficult to see the bigger picture, so turn your house into a blank canvas. If you can't bear to part with your possessions, box them neatly in the loft, still leaving it tidy in case potential buyers wish to view your attic. Mark the box with a contents list so you can find things if you need them, but if you can get rid of them and have the time, list it all on eBay. You will be surprised how much pocket money you can make!

Spring clean your property so it shines clean, and spend the money on getting the carpets professionally cleaned, as you will be surprised at how clean they look and what a difference it makes to the house. Clean the windows and replace shower curtains / re grout tiles if they are looking a bit old to add a sparkling touch to your home.

Improve the 'curb appeal' of your house, as the first impression is key. Paint the front door and the fence, fix the guttering and mow the lawn. These small little changes make all the difference to someone viewing for the first time.

Make sure that you have good Home Insurance, as you may be selling but your possessions are valuable!
